(Manipulados por el Tiempo) Dealing with Time, 2009: Why are we lacking in time? Through a quirky documentary style, this film digs through history to explore how time perception has changed through the centuries, show hidden cameras of our time-pressured peers, and follows rebel thinkers who are fighting to live without clocks. "Dealing with time" gives a fresh and insightful perspective into society's growing problem.

The Two Faces of Money, 2006: Money has become the drug of our societies. Confronted with this phenomenon, citizens all over the world are inventing complementary currencies for social ends and are opening the debate: What is money for? The film is made of reports of different complementary currencies: Chiemagauer (Germany), Time Bank (England) and Lets (in Paris), and interviews with Margrit Kennedy, Michael Linton, Bernard Lietaer and Patrick Vivere. This film started with the First Forum of Complementary Currencies (July 2004 – Bad Honnef, Germany). During this meeting we interviewed a lot of specialists like Margrit Kennedy or Michael Linton. Then Christian Gellery received us in Bavaria for a shooting about the Chiemgauer currency. We continued in England where Martin Simons explained us the Time Bank System. And we finished at home with the Lets of Paris.

When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1990, Cuba's economy went into a tailspin. With imports of oil cut by more than half – and food by 80 percent – people were desperate. This film tells of the hardships and struggles as well as the community and creativity of the Cuban people during this difficult time. Cubans share how they transitioned from a highly mechanized, industrial agricultural system to one using organic methods of farming and local, urban gardens. It is an unusual look into the Cuban culture during this economic crisis, which they call "The Special Period". The film opens with a short history of Peak Oil, a term for the time in our history when world oil production will reach its all-time peak and begin to decline forever. Transgénicos e a Propriedade Privada

Percy Schmeiser, David versus Monsanto (2009): Imagine that a storm blows across your garden and that now, without your knowledge and without your consent, foreign and genetically-manipulated seeds are in your vegetable patch which you have nourished and maintained for many years. A few days later, representatives of a multi-national corporate group pay you a visit at home, demand that you surrender your vegetables and file a criminal complaint against you requesting a fine of $20,000 USD against you for the illegal use of patented and genetically-manipulated seeds. What's more: The court finds for the corporate group! Yet, you fight back... This short story is no utopia - rather, around the world, the bitter truth. It is also the true experience of the family of Percy and Louise Schmeiser in Canada, also winners of the Alternative Nobel Prize, who meanwhile have been fighting the chemicals and seed manufacturer Monsanto since 1996. Nowadays, nearly three-fourths of genetically-manipulated plants harvested worldwide originate from Monsanto's labs. Monsanto is a U.S. based corporate group which calls the dismal inventions such as DDT, PCB and Agent Orange its own. In its efforts to gain absolute hegemony over plants, from the field all the way to the consumer's plate, Monsanto knows no qualms. The farmers Tony Rush, David Runyon and Marc Loiselle also learned the hard way what it means to be confronted with Monsanto's methods of doing business, as did thousands of other farmers worldwide. They and the Schmeisers are not just fighting against Monsanto, and with that, for the continuation of their livelihood as farmers, but also for the right to freedom of speech and the right to their property. Yet above all, they are campaigning for the future of their children and grandchildren, so that they too, will have a chance to grow up in a world without genetically, manipulated food. This film is reassuring... reassuring to all who fear that as an individual, no one would have any power to confront policy makers, large corporations or the business world. "David vs. Monsanto" proves the opposite.

Medidas tan despiadadas que sólo han podido imponerse mediante el miedo, la fuerza y la represión. La película rastrea los orígenes de este capitalismo salvaje en las teorías radicales el Premio Nobel de Economía Milton Friedman y su posterior implementación en todo el mundo, desde las dictaduras en Chile o Argentina de los años 70, a la Gran Bretaña de Margaret Thatcher, la Rusia de Yeltsin, o las no tan lejanas invasiones neoconservadoras en Afganistán e Irak.

Espanish Dream

El documental narra un viaje a través del panorama inmobiliario español de los últimos 40 años. Este viaje es motivado por la inquietud, que surge en mí y en muchos jóvenes, cuando decidimos emanciparnos. Ese deseo frustrado, en la mayoría de los casos, hace que me ponga a investigar para buscar porqués y posibles soluciones. El viaje me llevará desde los inicios cuando empezaron mis padres, hasta el momento actual (últimos 10 años), donde a los jóvenes que nacimos durante los años 70, nos ha tocado afrontar la coyuntura económica y social más complicada de la historia del estado español para acceder a una vivienda.
